Ann Kaplan received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1973 and her law degree from the University of San Francisco in 1977.  She is a member of the Bars of both California and the District of Columbia.  Ms. Kaplan interned with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and the Marin County Public Defender’s Office before joining the insurance defense firm of Bledsoe, Smith, Cathcart, Boyd & Eliot, where she honed her skills while litigating numerous tort and contract matters.  In 1982, she co-founded YORK, BURESH & KAPLAN, predecessor to this firm.  Ms. Kaplan specializes in personal injury, broker and real estate disputes, premises liability and construction litigation.   She served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California for several years.  She is of Counsel to our firm and handles mediations and arbitrations in our offices.
