Mr. Buresh received his undergraduate degree in 1973 from the University of Oregon and his law degree in 1976 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.  He served as a deputy in the Marin County Public Defenders office before associating with the Bledsoe, Smith, Cathcart, Boyd & Eliot insurance defense law firm.  In 1982 he co-founded the firm of York, Buresh and Kaplan.  Over the span of his career, he has acted as insurer retained panel counseled in third-party casualty litigation.  He has counseled insurers in first and third party coverage and bad faith disputes.  More recently, he has been personal counsel for policyholders resolving third party claims in conjunction with their liability carriers.
